Bring your passport, and
if available Alien Number or Employment Authorization Card.
1. Adult
examination (15 years or older) typically consists of the following:
Physical examination
* Tuberculin (TB) skin test is required
for all persons 2 years or older.
Blood test for HIV (the virus that
causes AIDS)
Blood
test for syphilis (RPR)
Routine immunizations such as chickenpox (varicella),
MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) and tetanus-diphtheria.
2. Pediatric examination
(children 14 years of age or younger) typically
consists of the following:
Physical
examination
*
TB skin test
Review and update of routine pediatric immunizations.

A TB skin test will be performed at your first visit. You will
return in two to three days for a check of the test.
The
test is considered positive if there is redness or swelling greater
than 5 mm, you will need further testing
(chest
x-ray)
in order to proceed with your
application. If there is no redness or swelling the test is
considered
negative, and your medical examination can continue.
